One of my favorite parts of this wedding was when Sarah and I were alone in the getting ready room and she told me that “today just feels like another day.” Weddings are so over-commercialized. I’m in the wedding industry, and I’ll be the first to tell you that people make way too big of a deal about the wedding day. It’s probably not actually going to be the best day of your life (or gee, I hope it isn’t) and not everything is going to go perfectly. And Sarah understood that going into the day. She said she felt like herself and was excited for the day ahead, but she didn’t have unrealistic expectations. That’s it right there, folks. I wish every bride had that mentality. But that’s just who Sarah and Scott are… level headed, wonderful people. I’m so honored that they asked me to photograph their wedding. They and their families were beyond thoughtful and kind throughout the whole day. Best wishes to the happy couple and all who love them.
