Are you kidding me? Where do I even begin? This wedding. These families. Those emotions. Ryne and Marcella were so ready to be married, they were practically going crazy. Pastor Lance took his time announcing them as husband and wife, and I did not think Ryne was going to be able to wait until the end to kiss his bride. These two are something else, entirely. At one point, I looked at the two of them and said, “You have to be from another planet.” And I meant it as the biggest compliment I could give, because these two do life differently. As humans, we feel the need to hide our emotions and seek out what is best for ourselves first. But that is not the way Ryne and Marcella live. They are truly animated, full of life and ready to share their joy. From the second I walked in the door, Marcella went out of her way to make me feel like I was not only a welcome addition to the day, but a truly important and valued person. And that’s how she was with everyone. She was marrying the man of her dreams, but she made sure to draw attention to how beautiful his sister looked in her dress. She ran across the yard to greet her friends when they arrived. And then there is Ryne. This was practically the first time I met him, and he blew me away with his ability to make people feel safe and comfortable. He is hilarious, creative, and 100% an original. Marcella and Ryne are a powerhouse of energy and compassion. I can’t wait to see where they go from here. I just want to finish this post by saying how much of an absolute honor it has been to photograph ALL THREE of the Lampe kids’ weddings. Mr. Lampe is an amazing photographer, and the fact that all three of his kids asked me to shoot their weddings was such a huge deal to me. The Lampe family will always have a special place in my heart. This wedding was one for the books. I’ve never cried during getting-ready photos before, but these two are truly something special. My eyes were red and cloudy from the start. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Larsh!
