The hardest part about my job is that I fall head over heels in love with people. Whenever I shoot a wedding, I’m convinced that I’m going to become best friends with the bride and groom. I honestly struggle with remembering that this is my job, and that most couples just want me to photograph their wedding and move on with my life. So after 3 years of facebook stalking their lives, and praying that I’ll run into them accidentally at Meijer, I do move on, barely.
But with Paul and Kylee, it was different. Well, it started out as it always does. I fell ridiculously, crazily in love with them on their wedding day. As they read their vows, I vowed that I would not let them slip out of my life. And shockingly, they accepted me into their lives. Not just as their photographer, but as their friend. Kylee is a constant source of encouragement and support. I treasure the kindness she has poured out in my direction. And Paul never fails to shock me and make me laugh. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have them as friends.
Thanks for continuing to let me be a part of your lives, Paul and Kylee. Thanks for letting me be a part of many more major milestones since the wedding. I’m so blessed to know not only you, but now also little Everly. I can’t believe she’s one year old already. She’s a joy. She’s a beauty. Thanks for letting me get to know her.
