The lake is beautiful right now. Dangerously beautiful. But these guys were crazy enough to go exploring with me. I think we were about 3 seconds away from our appendages freezing off and about 2 feet away from falling through the ice, but it was just so mesmerizing out there. Grateful to both of them for surviving. Even when my heart is frozen over, I’ll always have a soft spot for Russell and his friends.
